Consumer Pricing Information
At Carolina Dunes Behavioral Health, caring for patients and providing an outstanding patient experience is our goal. We understand that navigating through the billing and payment procedures can be daunting, and we want to be helpful. Below is some information on pricing that might help you in becoming better-informed.
Pricing Transparency for Standard Services
We are happy to follow CMS (Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services) guidelines that require hospitals to provide a list of charges (sometimes called a Chargemaster List) for products and services provided at the facility. This file is linked below. While reviewing charge data, it is important to remember that any charges that are reflected are similar to a “manufacturer’s suggested retail price” that we all see when purchasing items in our lives. Provider Participation Agreements with insurers provide an actual cost to the payer and consumer. If you have insurance, you should work with your insurer to identify your costs due to co-pays and deductibles in your selected plan.
Shoppable Pricing and Services
With many variables, healthcare pricing can be confusing. What you pay a provider can depend not only on your insurance provider but your coverage and plan, as well. To make things clearer, and to be in compliance with CMS’ requirements, we are very happy to offer an online tool that displays shoppable services in a consumer-friendly format. This tool allows you to enter your information and see a price estimate for that service.
